SonicStage is freeware from Sony which is useful to play and organize all your audio files if your music player device is compatible, either a Walkman or other Sony portable device. With this tool you can create a music library and you can access the song you want to display with just a click.
With SonicStage you can also import files from a CD or from your computer. This player offers two kinds of interface: normal or reduced. The normal interface has a collection of intuitive controls along with the information given about a song. With SonicStage reduced mode you will save screen space through displaying a small player with limited controls.

How to use
Once you download and install SonicStage, you connect and sync your portable music device with SonicStage. In the main screen or window there is a menu with three key tabs: Music Sources, My Library and Transfer. The Music Source button allows you to import audio from a CD, from a folder or with CONNECT Music. CONNECT Music Store was a Sony service where you could buy and download music. Sony Connect was canceled in 2008 and now has a new online version for Sony mobile devices, Music Unlimited.
With Artist Link, the software gives you download suggestions related to your music style
SonicStage supports the formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, AAC and the discontinued ATRACT and ATRACT3. Organize your Library by categories such as artist, genre, album or date; and create new playlists. With the Transfer button you can sync your portable music device with SonicStage, transferring MP3 files automatically as well as burn an audio CD in MP3 and other formats.
SonicStage CP is the latest version of this freeware, and it contains new features such as Random Play by year, searching by date, Automatic Scoring, searching your favorite music and searching in the playback history. Artist Link is also part of the update for this version, and with it the software gives you download suggestions related to the audio style in your music player device.
